There are many facets and traits which make up healthy communication. There are not only essential traits to use and posses, but there are balances between these as well. For example, it is good to be honest, and it is good to be self-controlled. However, I posit that these should be in balance. It is possible to be too honest without self-control, and conversely, it is possible to have all self-control and not be open or honest at all. All honesty with no self-control is called a temper tantrum, and all self-control with no honesty is communicatively shutting down.
